How we handle enquiry data
When you submit the contact or quote form, or email or call us, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, site postcode, a description of the work and any photo you attach. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey and provide a quote.
- Lawful basis: we process enquiry details to take steps to enter into a contract with you and for our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Who processes it: London Tar handles your enquiry, and our website provider, Digital Five (using the email delivery service Postmark), delivers and archives the message so it reaches us reliably.
- Archiving: a copy of each enquiry is retained in the Digital Five archive so submissions are not lost. Access is limited to those who need it to deliver the service.
- Retention: we keep enquiry details for up to two years after our last contact with you. If we carry out work for you, we keep the job records for as long as we need them for guarantees, accounts and legal obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
